Let’s go beyond the typical marketing playbook.

If you're ready to stand out during the off-season, here are 2 creative, outside-the-box ideas that can bring in curious travellers, offbeat adventurers, and digital nomads looking for a unique experience.

  • Create mystery and exclusivity.

 

  • Offer a package where guests don’t know everything upfront—only that it includes unexpected luxuries, hidden local gems, and a few curated surprises.

 

  • Include things like a handwritten note with a secret beach walk, a “locals only” dining tip, or a map to a tucked-away lookout.

Handwritten notes or suggestions will add a personal touch that will be unexpected and appreciated. 

  • Turn Your Property into a Niche Destination

 

  • Set up little amenities: an art easel, journals, a typewriter, or a book library.

 

  • Give the listing a strong theme that makes people think: This isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to create, reflect, or reconnect.

If your budget allows, go the extra mile and provide little extras that the guests can take home with them to later recall on their time in your short term stay.

Once you decide on a creative weekend getaway, set it up, photograph it and advertising it for a weekend only, or only for certain weekends- this way you know people are booking for that special feature.

Depending on how much effort you want to go to, you could go all out and charge a bit more for that experience for a predetermined date.
